Dedication of a Hungarian monument
Dear fellow Cleveland Hungarians
St. Elizabeth of Hungary Catholic Church supported by the United Hungarian Societies of Cleveland invites you
this Thursday, August 20th is a Hungarian national holiday commemorating St. Stephen, the first king of Hungary. Due to the tireless efforts of Nicholas Boros, UHS secretary (and historian), the cornerstone of the recently demolished St. Stephen church of McKeesport, PA has been saved and transported to the garden of St. Elizabeth church on Buckeye.
A short outdoor (Hungarian language) dedication ceremony will be held this Thursday, August 20th, at 7 pm.
Visiting guest of honor will be Dr. Zita Bencsik, consul general of Hungary from Chicago, who is leaving after 4 years in her diplomatic posting; this will probably be her last public appearance here in Cleveland.
